Internships
TEG invites collegiate students and graduates to apply for internships each semester. Applicants must at least have entered their third or fourth year of college and are required to present a resume prior to a formal interview. Interns are required to work a minimum of 15-20 hours a week and are compensated by class credit or minimum wage.
Applicants must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word, and possess an interest in public research of the news media.
Intern Job descriptions include but are not limited to:
- Attending internal staff meetings
- Conducting research
- Compiling media reports
- Compiling and updating databases
- Drafting press releases
- Drafting media advisories
- Assisting in coordinating events
- Attending press conferences
- Attending client events
- Creating posts for social media
- Participating in agency brainstorm meetings
