Prior to his assignment in New Orleans, Majors spent more than two years in New York as a Senior Producer for the weekend editions of the Today Show. He was one of two executives who supervised the show's editorial content. Majors was responsible for coordinating live interviews of nationally recognized figures in politics, law, international affairs, homeland security, business, health care and television/film. From 1999 to 2003, Majors served as a Senior Producer for CNBC and then MSNBC, NBC's rapidly growing cable news networks. His tenure there coincided with a dynamic period in the growth and influence of cable news. His expertise in media relations is also honed by more than 10 years of experience in local television. Majors served as a TV producer in major markets including Los Angeles. Some of the highlights of his work there including being part of the producing team that produced live coverage of the infamous OJ Simpson Bronco chase. He also spent time as a producer in Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio. The culmination of his local news experience came in Tampa where Majors served as News Director. During his career, Majors has received individual awards of excellence from the Associated Press, the Society of Professional Journalists and been a part of teams who have been recognized for their efforts with Emmy awards.Majors graduated from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York with a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Distribution, a discipline related to technical sales/marketing. His master's degree in Journalism was earned at The Ohio State University.
