A lifelong resident of New Orleans, Sarah G. Materne joined The Ehrhardt Group as an assistant account executive, following her graduation from the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University. She was promoted to account executive in December 2007. Sarah works on public and media relations programs for Verizon Wireless, Raised Floor Living, Capital One Bank, Prospect New Orleans, Harmony Oaks Apartments and St. Paul's Episcopal School. She has also worked on projects with the Contemporary Visual Arts Association of New Orleans (CVANNO) and Habitat for Humanity. Sarah worked with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and the re-opening of the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts in New Orleans, securing national news coverage in the Wall Street Journal, CNN, NPR, CBS Radio Network, the LA Times and numerous local media outlets. While in college, Sarah studied print journalism with a focus on the convergence of print, broadcast and web media. She worked for The Daily Reveille, LSU student newspaper, for two years as a contributing writer, staff writer, entertainment writer and columnist. Sarah represented LSU in John F. Kennedy Institute of Politics Civic and Political Engagement Campaign conference at Harvard University. America Now: Short Readings from Recent Periodicals, a college textbook published by Bedford/St. Martin's, selected one of her articles from The Daily Reveille in the 2007 edition. Sarah worked for Sponsor One and helped coordinate the 2006 charity event "Tales of the Cocktail," with the event's founder Ann Rogers. The event staged 35 events during the five-day period and hosted 42 credentialed visiting media, writers, journalists, editors, radio and TV hosts and more than 50 authors/mixologists as special guests.
