Carrie DeVries is a senior account executive at The Ehrhardt Group. She manages public and media relations campaigns for Galatoire's, a James Beard award winning restaurant; Louisiana’s only NBA franchise, the New Orleans Hornets; and two of the Gulf Coast’s premier destinations, Harrah's and The Roosevelt New Orleans, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel. She has worked on a number of award winning campaigns and events including the grand re-opening of the 117-year-old Roosevelt Hotel, which marked the return of luxury to New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. She also assisted the New Orleans Hornets in launching their “I’m In” branding campaign during the 2010-11 season. When Galatoire’s Restaurant – a New Orleans dining institution – reached its 105 year benchmark, Carrie planned and executed a private reception of more than 100 of Galatoire’s most valuable customers. Most recently, she coordinated the groundbreaking ceremony for the $1.2 billion University Medical Center, marking a new era of medical education for the New Orleans region. Her work at The Ehrhardt Group has yielded millions in media impressions nationwide in publications including Saveur, Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Southern Living and USA Today. Her success in the social media realm is marked by the creation of Galatoire’s iPhone application, making it the first restaurant of its kind in New Orleans to have such an application. She also created a Facebook page for Galatoire’s, building a base of more than 3,000 fans in less than a year of the page’s inception.Carrie serves on the board of directors for the Press Club of New Orleans. In 2011, she served as co-chair of March of Dimes' Spotlight on Success Gala. In 2009, Carrie was honored by the March of Dimes as a Spotlight on Success recipient. She is a member of the Young Leadership Council and 504ward. Before joining The Ehrhardt Group, Carrie worked as a news producer at WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge, La. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from Louisiana State University. |
